This class is designed to teach you how to think through a multi-light setup, not simply copy a lighting diagram. You’ll learn how to build, adjust, and troubleshoot three-light portraits so you can recreate the process independently.

WORKSHOP FAQ

Quick answers about booking, access, equipment, add-ons, and studio policies before your shoot.

How much lighting experience do I need?

You should be comfortable shooting in manual mode and have some experience using at least one studio light. We’ll build from those fundamentals into complete three-light setups.

Should I take Intro to Studio Lighting first?

If you’re new to strobes or off-camera lighting, we recommend starting with Intro to Studio Lighting. If you already understand basic exposure and single-light setups, you’re ready for this class.

What should I bring?

Bring your camera, a portrait-friendly lens, a memory card, fully charged batteries, and anything you need to review your images during class.

What lens do you recommend?

A 50mm, 85mm, or 24–70mm lens works well. Any lens suitable for studio portrait photography is welcome.

Is lighting equipment provided?

Yes. RESRC Studios provides the professional lighting equipment, modifiers, and grip equipment used throughout the workshop.

Will I photograph the model myself?

Yes. After each setup is demonstrated and explained, you’ll have guided shooting time with the live model.

Can I use the images in my portfolio?

Yes. You may use the images you create during the workshop in your portfolio and on social media.

How many photographers will attend?

Each session is limited to five photographers, giving everyone time to shoot, ask questions, and receive individual guidance.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Please contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability and the class policies provided during registration.
